Someone once told me I'd be surprised with how fast life can change in just 10 minutes; I'd like to point out how fast life can change in just 1. This blog is here to keep track of my minutes. Its a collection of constants, changes and everything in between. What I do, what I love and all that good stuff. Maybe one day it'll teach me something about myself, maybe it won't — either way, its here. :)

Permalink Currently working on a little diversion in the midst of many many projects. I really am bummed Steve Job’s passed. Bill Gates is ridiculously influential, but Jobs was able to hone in on not only technology, but on design as well — which, to me, is equally important.  Plus he was a rock star. C’mon now, who invents the first Mac, gets fired, then comes back years later and does WORK to the brand? Steve Jobs did, that’s who.

Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Beer and Bridesmaids

No photo tonight — i’m strictly sketchbook and pencil (and grid and tracing paper) tonight. Currently trying to figure out the PERF ring to make for my wonderful metals class whilst i sip on some New Belgium Ranger beer, watch the unrated version of Bridesmaids and listen to some instrumentals that bring me back, but keep me inspired (ratatat and some old school jazz are in the mix tonight).

Also working on getting some of my freelance things started up so i dont get too far behind. <3

Permalink Dotty So i had a little DIY sesh last night and HAD to show them off. I cut some loose fitting F21 pants i bought a couple years ago into shorts and cuffed them so theyd look a little more believable. Its almost Fall time so I guess i&#8217;m a little late with the shorts, but its LA - i can wear shorts whenever i want right? Permalink Currently working on a personal typeface for Advanced Typography. To me it kind of resembles DIN, but slightly more curvy and slightly less great. It also feels more feminine, but I tend to think lots of things look feminine so its debatable.

Permalink Currently working on figuring out a color scheme for my screenprint pattern. Printing Friday so I need to get some ideas started so i can just bang out this project, hopefully like it, and be done. Its always hard for me to choose colors! 
Permalink &amp;Tomorrow brought a warmer day.  Just have to say, i was no way near prepared for today. Permalink Currently Finished!  So this was actually part of a Sunday through Tuesday night sesh. Due Monday, but reluctantly reworked for Wednesday. This was the navigation system placed around the inside corners. triangles were taken from a cut in the display type we created based on the entrance windows of the building. Finished up the last of our signage group project, and we are all SO GLAD its finished. 
Permalink Those Californians are crazy. The most amazing thing (to me) about SoCal weather, is that there are no seasons. You can be wearing a sun dress one day and then its boots and sweaters the next.  I wonder what tomorrow will bring! :) &#8212;Zara scarf and sweater | NYC tangerine nail polish
